Eyemaginations' ECHO Enables Professionals to Communicate With Patients Via Internet-based Devices

BALTIMORE—Providing enhanced access to images and dynamic videos via tablets and mobile devices to enhance the patient education effort for ECPs is the focus of Eyemaginations' new ECHO solution. The company's new cloud-based HTML5 optimized software for patient education features enhanced video quality and speed, which enable health care professionals to communicate with patients from any Internet-based device.



New ReachLocal and Eyefinity Alliance Geared to Help ECPs to Acquire, Manage and Retain More Clients Online

WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. and RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif.—More than 28,000 eyecare professionals will be able to improve the return on their online marketing investment through a recently announced strategic partnership between ReachLocal, a leader in online marketing solutions for small- and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), and Eyefinity, the division of VSP Global which focuses on eyecare business solutions. According to the agreement, ReachLocal will be the exclusive provider of online marketing solutions to Eyefinity clients.

Patients are increasingly using the Internet to research and find eyecare professionals. According to a 2013 Pew Internet Project Health Online report, 59 percent of all U.S. adults have looked online for health information in the past year. Creating an optimized Web presence is essential for optometrists and other eye health providers to reach more patients, Eyefinity's statement said.

Solutionreach and Google In New Partnership

Solutionreach, a leader in patient engagement software for the health care field, including for optometry, has announced a new partnership with Google Now and that its appointment reminders will now be available in Google Now. One of the benefits to Solutionreach clients is appointment reminders for their patients.



CEing is Believing Registration Now Open

Registration is now open for the upcoming CEing is Believing (CEiB) Virtual Conference, which will enable eyecare professionals to access online continuing education and attend two days worth of live, COPE approved courses from their computers. The conference will be held on July 17th and 18th from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. EST.

Ever think about the Big Picture of what’s happening online...? Nielsen, the global information and measurement media company, reports that March 2013 was a busy month for Internet traffic.

Looking more broadly at the top Web brands, Google topped the list by attracting nearly 171 million Americans to its sites, followed by Facebook, with 142 million unique visitors in March. Amazon saw the largest growth in visitors among the top 10 Web brands, as 6.7 million more Americans visited the site than in March 2012.
