INFOGRAPHIC: What Are the Best Social Media Platforms?

Just as there is no one automobile that is perfect for everyone, or shoe, or even sunglass, there is no one social media platform that meets the need of everyone. The Visionaries Group a consultancy with digital media and ECP practice clients throughout the eyecare/eyewear field, said it knows you can’t be all things to all people either.

Writes Daniel Feldman, of VG, "Every business needs to accurately target current and prospective customers and then expand from there in an intelligent manner. Where you choose to concentrate your efforts should be more than what social media network you like browsing, it should be based of course on the network your customers and prospective customers use."

Finding Business Reasons to Use Snapchat

By Alan Glazier, OD, FAAO

ROCKVILLE, Md.— Snapchat is a smartphone app that enables you to share photos with others. The concept is a photo and video sharing phone app where you shoot, send and control how long the image is available to the parties you send it to. Users set a time limit for how long recipients can view their Snaps, ranging from up to 10 seconds to as little as one second, after which they will be hidden from the recipient's device, but they are permanently saved on the company's server. Should the parties you send it to take a screen shot of your photo or video, Snapchat notifies you.
