LONDON—The International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB) is kicking off its most ambitious event ever, to be held both online and in person. The overarching alliance for the global eye health sector, with more than 180 members in over 100 countries, is calling on leaders, innovators and change makers in the eye health sector to come together to create radical change. 2030 IN SIGHT LIVE takes place in Dubai and online from Wednesday, March 2, to Thursday, March 3, 2022.

The event is being hosted in partnership with Noor Dubai and Seva.org, and those attending in person will be able to experience Expo 2020 taking place at the same time. Registration details are posted here including information about online participation.

A wide range of speakers featuring a diverse range of panelists and experts including WHO representatives, CEOs of businesses and NGOs, frontline staff and others will be part of the program that also includes workshops and meetings. Among the speakers are several WHO advisors and consultants, Peter Holland, chief executive of IAPB, Reade Fahs, CEO of National Vision Inc. and Anurag Hans, head of mission for EssilorLuxottica, K-T Overbey, president and executive director of OneSight and many others.

IAPB launched 2030 In Sight, a new 10-year strategy for the sector earlier in 2021. The strategy aims to ensure that everyone in the world has the access to eyecare and rehabilitation services they need by the end of the decade. The strategy wants to elevate eye health as a fundamental economic, social and development issue, integrate eye health within wider health care and activates consumer demand and drive market change.

2030 In Sight organizers said, "Join the conversation to shape the future. No matter where you are in the world, we look forward to welcoming you, either in person or virtually. 2030 IN SIGHT LIVE will provide the perfect blend of learning, innovation, content sharing and networking. Our new format will make it easier than ever to share knowledge, have meaningful conversations and build relationships."
