Top Line: The next episode of InsideVision TV will air Wed., June 10, at 9:30 a.m. EDT, the ninth show of the New England College of Optometry and Sector Media Group’s InsideVision YouTube Channel. This week’s show features organizers and promoters of ReopenEyecare.com, the new industry effort to define guideposts for an effective post COVID 19 return to business. Guests will include Katie Greiner, OD, MS, MBA, FAAO who is the chief operating officer at Northeast Ohio Eye Surgeons, and David Chute, MS, MBA co-founder and CEO of ThinOptics. For his unique perspective, Justin Manning, OD, MPH, FAAO the EVP for professional strategies at Healthy Eyes Advantage (HEA) will be joining the program. The live program will be anchored from Boston, Massachusetts by New England College of Optometry president and CEO, Howard Purcell, OD, FAAO, with Erik Liljegren, InsideVision correspondent-at-large, reporting this week from Minnesota, midway through a two month coast to coast journey documenting the gradual reopening of American eyecare businesses. This week’s guests will offer education and insight on the current climate. What are the advantages to practitioners in working as a team and learning from each other? David Chute is one of the members of the task force comprised of the vision community leaders responsible for curating content for the website. Drs. Greiner and Justin Manning are both members of the eyecare provider advisory panel charged with advising on future content and site improvement. The panel will discuss featured content on ReopenEyecare.com, the Vision Council’s involvement, and how the program is distinguished from other information sources. Dr. John Rumpakis will provide the closing segment, “Something to Think About,” offering key thoughts and advice on moving forward in a step by step fashion toward reopening and eventual business success.
