NEW YORK—Building on the strong response to its first outreach earlier this week to eyecare professionals across the U.S. seeking their views about the coronavirus' impact on their practices and optical businesses, Jobson Research is continuing to monitor the ongoing COVID-19 crisis and is issuing the second wave of its Coronavirus ECP survey today. The survey, which asks ECPs to provide responses on a range of topics connected to the pandemic, is open today at this link. In addition to Jobson Research's own distribution, the survey is being made available through VMAIL, Review of Optometric Business, Women In Optometry, and Review of Myopia Management over the course of the next two days.

The first survey, which covered the period of March 13 through the morning of March 16, reflected ECPs' concerns about the financial impact on their business as well as the steps they had taken to date in patient communications and other matters in the midst of a very fluid and fast-changing situation. VMAIL reported on the first study's highlights last Monday.

The second wave survey will be open through Friday morning EST. Eyecare professionals, consisting of optometrists and opticians who participated in the first survey can take part in the second one. Those ECPs who missed the first opportunity to contribute their views are encouraged to take the new survey. There is no charge to take part. The complete results of the first study, and, soon, the current one, will be posted at no charge on the Jobson Research site here.
