FAIRFAX, Va—The American Society of Cataract Refractive Surgery (ASCRS) Foundation has announced that their seventh annual ASCRS Foundation Run for Sight will be co-sponsored by Johnson & Johnson Vision. The event will be held at 6:30 am on Sunday, May 5, in San Diego, Calif., during the 2019 ASCRS ASOA Annual Meeting. The ASCRS Foundation Run for Sight will feature both a 5K run and a 1 mile walk, beginning and ending just outside the San Diego Convention Center at the Fifth Avenue Landing Park. All participants will receive a race t-shirt and finisher’s medal, and, thanks to Johnson & Johnson Vision’s sponsorship, all registration costs will benefit the ASCRS Foundation’s humanitarian eyecare programs.

Over the past seven years it’s been running, the ASCRS Foundation Run for Sight has raised over $100,000 for ASCRS Foundation initiatives, including Operation Sight, a U.S.-based charitable cataract surgery program.

Interested runners can register for the race online, or at the Johnson & Johnson Vision booth in the ASCRS Exhibit Hall at the San Diego Convention Center on Saturday, May 4, during the ASCRS ASOA Annual Meeting.
