NEW YORK—The American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ASCRS) announced that it will hold its annual meeting virtually on May 16 and 17, 2020. The meeting will be specifically tailored to its new digital space and will include live and on-demand educational sessions. Over 400 hours of educational programming, along with a digital exhibit hall are planned. In addition, the ASCRS Film Festival will take place virtually on Saturday, May 16 at 6:30 p.m. EDT. Attendees can also earn up to 34 hours of AMA PRA Category 1 credit through a combination of live and virtual opportunities.

On its website, the ASCRS said, "The Virtual Annual Meeting is tailored specifically to the newly created digital space. In all, over 400 hours of educational programming will be provided. In addition, you will be exposed to the newest industry trends and innovations, and will have the opportunity to experience additional networking opportunities to connect with friends, colleagues and mentors in the digital exhibit hall."
