NEW YORK—Brian Dever has been named chief development officer at Lighthouse Guild. He brings over 20 years of nonprofit leadership and development experience to the position and will focus on expanding and deepening philanthropic support for the critical work of the organization. Prior to joining Lighthouse Guild, Dever served as vice president of Philanthropy and Alumni at Let’s Get Ready, a nonprofit organization working to empower and support students from low-income and first-generation college backgrounds on the path to and through college.

Dever was the organization’s first director of development and served in a number of roles over the course of his tenure, helping to build Let’s Get Ready into a leader in the field engaging over 14,000 students annually. Prior to Let’s Get Ready, he served as the executive director of the Northfield Union of Youth.

A resident of Brooklyn, Dever volunteers with the Red Hook Initiative. He is a former member of Blue Engine’s board of engineers, and volunteered with the NYC Venture Philanthropy Fund, iMentor, and ioby. Dever was also a member of the New York Community Trust’s first cohort of Leadership Fellows.
