NEW YORK—Corinne McCormack, a seasoned eyewear executive and entrepreneur, is launching a consulting business starting Oct. 1. Corinna McCormack Consulting will offer various services including developing business strategies for growth, design and trend forecasting, product sourcing as well as strategic marketing. McCormack, who conceived and created a brand of designer eyewear in 1993 which carved a new niche in the eyewear industry, subsequently developed her eponymous brand into a recognized leader in premium reading glasses.

Her innovative designs and enabled her to receive five patents. She sold her business to FGX International in 2009. She left FGX last year and has been working on the foundation of this new business.

As a designer and former business owner, she believes she can support other companies with their growth objectives, stating, “I will work with management to develop plans and products that will increase their revenue and their gross profit. I have always been someone who builds new businesses and grows the bottom line. I have done that when I was in the corporate world for best in class companies like Macy’s and certainly in my own company.”

McCormack has been active in many high visibility industry organizations. She was president and on the board of the Optical Women’s Association (OWA) for over 10 years. She received the OWA’s inaugural Pinnacle Award in March 2017 for her service and contributions to the industry. McCormack has also been active with The Vision Council and with the Accessories Council.
