DALLAS—Kevin Rupp, chairman of Essilor Vision Foundation’s (EVF) board of directors, is supporting the foundation’s Vote for Vision awareness and fundraising campaign. “We are fortunate to work in an industry where we can improve a person's life by improving their vision,” Rupp said. “Essilor of America understands the importance of giving back. That is why the company supports EVF by donating all of the lenses, lab services and frames so people in need around the country have access to vision care.

“I look forward to continuing this partnership and to serving EVF as we work to eliminate poor vision and its lifelong consequences.”

Rupp became board chairman in January 2020. He is a founding board member of EVF and served as the treasurer until October 2019. He is also executive vice president of EssilorLuxottica integration North America. In this role, he is responsible for managing the overall integration of Essilor and Luxottica, and covers all integration activities for Essilor Group in the U.S. and Canada.

Rupp is especially enthusiastic about the Vote for Vision campaign, which encourages people to prioritize their vision and to donate to EVF so children in underserved communities across America can receive vision care. This year, thanks to a generous matching grant, every donation made by an individual will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $100,000. Anyone who donates $25 or more will receive a Vote for Vision T-shirt.

“As an industry, we can make a difference in someone’s life by helping them get clear vision,” Rupp said. “We all have a role to play in removing the barriers of awareness, access and affordability, and I encourage everyone to commit to helping the millions of people in this country who need vision care. Together we can eliminate poor vision in a generation.”

Rupp shares his thoughts about the cause of vision and the Vote for Vision Campaign in the video below.
