The move will increase the retailer’s footprint to 222 stores in 41 states, according to an announcement. The new store is located on West Dodge Road in Omaha. “The Omaha store opening marks an important milestone for us, at Eyemart Express, as we bring our 30-year legacy of providing accessible and convenient prescription eyewear to customers in Nebraska,” Bill Butler, chief operations officer, said in the announcement. “We strive to be good neighbors by contributing to the local economy, and are proud to be growing and hiring during this unprecedented time.”The 2,204 square-foot Omaha store will carry more than 2,000 frames and also features an on-site lab so that 90 percent of glasses can be ordered and received on the same day — some in as little as 30 minutes, Eyemart Express said. Approximately 10 jobs will be created at the new location, ranging from full-time and part-time sales associates to lab technicians and opticians, the retailer said.
