LAS VEGAS—At the annual Vision Source member meeting here, Eyes of Faith Optical presented its latest contribution of $5,000 to Sight Ministries, a Christian mission organization which uses the funds to purchase eyewear for distribution during its global missions. The contribution, made possible through the Eyes of Faith Wear & Share program, brings the total donated pairs of eyeglasses and sunglasses from Sight Ministries to over 10,000 pairs.

According to Vision Source founder and CEO Glenn Ellisor, OD, a Sight Ministries board member, since the Wear & Share program’s inception in 2011, Sight Ministries has received the funds to deliver prescription glasses, reading glasses and sunglasses “to more than 10,000 people around the world who would otherwise have no access.”

Eyes of Faith president and co-founder Jim Schneider said, “While we deliver the funds to help Sight Ministries carry out their mission, we can simultaneously thank so many of our current optical partners, and connect with potential like-minded doctors and opticians to make an even bigger impact in the lives of people who desperately need someone to reach out and show them the meaning of hope.”

The Eyes of Faith family of eyewear brands includes the Eyes of Faith house brand and licensed brands VeggieTales, Not of This World, and Women of Faith, launching Fall 2013. All are distributed to independent eyecare professionals in the continental U.S., Puerto Rico, Canada and Dominica.
