Recognized as one of the international design world’s most prestigious honors, the Red Dot Awards have been presented by Germany’s Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen since 1955. “More companies and design studios have entered this year than ever before,” said Dr. Peter Zec, founder and CEO of Red Dot. “We received more than 6,500 entries from 60 countries.”An international panel of 40 expert independent designers, design professors and journalists evaluated the entries for formal quality, innovation, functionality and ecological compatibility.
