Hilco Vision Acquires M&S Technologies

PLAINVILLE, Mass.—Hilco Vision has acquired Illinois-based M&S Technologies (MST), a leader in digital vision testing systems in the North American market. The deal was effective Dec. 31, 2020, Hilco Vision said. Transaction details were not disclosed. The M&S Smart System platform is relied on by eyecare professionals across the industry. In addition, the M&S clinical trial suite offers leading pharmaceutical companies, scientists and researchers the same level of reliability to meet the needs of any clinical trial, study or investigative research.

M&S was founded in 1990 by Joe Marino and both Joe and Karen Marino will be staying on in leadership roles with Hilco Vision, the announcement said.

The business will continue to be primarily based out of Niles, Illinois where the software development, design and hardware engineering is done.
