CHICAGO—A range of leading independent eyewear brands have joined forces to launch The Suites at Midwest Best described by its organizer as "a socially distant optical experience," and a cooperative kick-off to the autumn eyewear season to be held Oct. 2 to 4 in Rosemont, Ill. According to Jill Onalla, founder of Midwest Best and Midwest sales rep for eyewear brands Orgreen + Goldsmith, "We are moving together with a common goal and a shared desire to re-establish a more personal exchange between brand and customers within a safe and relaxed environment. We have had a tremendous amount of interest from around the country but are being sure to keep this a special environment and a limited number of brands."

Onalla explained that the showing has been organized in collaboration with the Marriott Hotel, which is providing each participating brand its own suite at the Marriott Rosemont. "Each will have its own space to guarantee a platform for all partner brands to showcase their new collections in a safe and personal space while providing participating customers with a special experience and genuine atmosphere," she said. She added, “This local show’s original concept was born out of relationships that have been formed over the years of working together in this industry. We have kept it at a small number of representatives for both our own comfort and that of our accounts.”

Meetings at Midwest Best will be by appointment only. Participating brands to be taking part include: Orgreen, Mykita, Barton Perreira, Anne et Valentin, Lindberg, Jacques Marie Mage, Thierry Lasry, Nathalie Blanc, Ahlem, Laibach & York, FH One, Tarian, Portrait, Frank and Lucie, Salt, Henau, Oliver Goldsmith, Morgenthal Frederics, Lunor, Theo, Brilleneyes, la eyeworks, OGI, Balmain, Akoni, Masunaga, Zero G, Plein Les Mirettes, Nina Mur, Robert La Roche, Hapter, Lucas de Stael, Robert Marc, Gotti.
