Latest News Kenmark Eyewear and National Forest Foundation Announce Partnership for Second Year By Staff Monday, March 15, 2021 12:18 AM LOUISVILLE, Ky.—Kenmark Eyewear has announced it is once again partnering with the National Forest Foundation on its 50 Million for Our Forests tree planting campaign. This is the second year Kenmark has partnered with the NFF on this campaign. In 2020, VM reported that Kenmark and the NFF partnered to celebrate Earth Day. The goal of the campaign is to plant 50 million trees and invest in healthy forests for today and for future generations. Tree planting helps fight climate change, conserve wildlife habitat and ensure healthy watersheds for all Americans, as well as helping restore the damage caused by severe wildfires, insects, disease and other natural disasters. The NFF only plants native trees, and targets its efforts to areas that need the most help. Kenmark and NFF’s partnership will focus on helping to restore tens of thousands of acres of wildlife habitat from the long-leaf line forests of Florida to the cedar groves of Alaska. The partnership will be channeled through Kenmark’s house brand Paradigm, and for every dollar Paradigm receives, one tree will be planted. Kenmark also plans to implement ways for customers to get involved in donations in the future.Mike Cundiff, Kenmark’s CEO, said, “We are proud to partner with the National Forest Foundation for a second year. During this pandemic everyone has observed the gradual clearing air as we drive less and it reinforces the reality that we can make a difference today. As a lover of history I am forever thankful that we are working to preserve our National Forests and continue efforts to make them thrive. We stand with the NFF.”Marissa Cundiff, Kenmark’s VP of marketing, said, “As a company we have made great strides in our sustainability efforts, with much more to come this year and in coming years. These efforts to reduce our carbon footprint are extremely important to us. The forests are beautiful, magnificent places and I’m both excited and proud we are partnering with the NFF again this year to help reforest them. We hope to continue to help plant as many new trees as possible during our partnership and bring along our customers in our efforts.”
