PALM SPRINGS, Fla.—My Eyelab, a division of Vision Precision Holdings, announced earlier this month the signing of a four-location, multi-unit franchise deal that will expand the retailer’s operations across the Miami metro area.

In June, My Eyelab said it was launching a “strategic franchise program,” with an emphasis on single- and multi-unit franchise opportunities,” as VMail reported. The company announced this month that its priority markets for franchise deals are California, Florida, Texas and North Carolina.

The announcement this month noted that entrepreneur Kristin Druey would be responsible for the franchise deal and “closing out the Miami market.” Druey joins the My Eyelab system with extensive knowledge in real estate development, marketing and financial competence, according to the announcement.

“As an entrepreneur, you're always looking to join the right team, with the same ambition and drive as you,” Druey said in the announcement. “The My Eyelab franchise support team has consistently proven themselves to be the right team. Working with Daniel (Stanton) and the entire My Eyelab team has been nothing short of fantastic.”

Druey's first of four locations is slated to open in April 2018 in Hollywood, Fla.

Stanton, who is a co-founder of My Eyelab and chief executive of Precision Vision, said Druey has “a one-of-a-kind drive to succeed. She consistently sets goals for herself and the My Eyelab brand, and we're confident that she will reach those goals in no time.”

Vision Precision Holdings, also the parent company of Stanton Optical, is the 18th largest optical retailer in the U.S. market, as ranked by the Vision Monday Top 50 U.S. Optical Retailers 2017 report. The company has 83 corporate locations with four more expected to open by the end of 2017, according to its announcement this month. As of the end of 2016, Vision Precision Holdings reported that it had 55 stores under its corporate umbrella (44 Stanton Optical stores and 11 My Eyelab units).
