DULUTH, Ga.—National Vision has awarded $7,000 in grants to three students who are members of the National Optometric Student Association (NOSA). The grants were awarded at the 51st Annual National Optometric Association (NOA) Convention on Friday, July 12 in Atlanta. These grants, which are made possible due to National Vision’s partnership with the NOA, are open to all active NOSA members in good standing with an optometry school in the U.S. or Puerto Rico. Students must submit either video or essay responses to an essay question.

This year, the topic had to do with advancing the eye health of diverse populations. This is the fourth year National Vision and NOA have partnered for these grants.
This year’s winners were:

• 1st Place ($4,000 Prize): Tasneem Maner, Salus Pennsylvania College of Optometry, Class of 2020.
• 2nd Place ($2,000 Prize): Irina Yakubin, Inter American University of Puerto Rico School of Optometry, Class of 2020.
• 3rd Place ($1,000 Prize): Manjot “Missy” Batth, Inter American University of Puerto Rico School of Optometry, Class of 2021.
