NEW YORK—Paul Misiti has been named chief operating officer at Lighthouse Guild. Misiti is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of Lighthouse Guild and works closely with the CEO and staff to implement high priority initiatives in line with the organization’s overall mission and strategy. Misiti has extensive experience in eye health, finance, operations, project management, and business development. Prior to joining Lighthouse Guild, he was with Bausch + Lomb where his most recent position was executive director of medical office and medical science operations R&D.

Among his other positions at Bausch + Lomb were: director of global medical and R&D operations, director of global R&D operations and director of product and business development. He has also held positions at TRICO, Eaton, and Chrysler Motors.

Misiti has been a member of the industrial advisory board of the Biomimetic Microelectronic Systems Engineering Research Center and holds the patent on the method for identifying characteristics of contact lenses. His work “How to be a Great KOL” (key opinion leader) was published in the February 2014 issue of Cataract & Refractive Surgery Today.
