NASHVILLE, Tenn.—SouthEast Eye Specialists (SEES ) and its affiliates, a leading provider of medical and surgical eyecare, and Center for Facial Rejuvenation, a leader in facial medical aesthetics, announced that James Pereyra has been appointed CEO of the companies. Pereyra spent the first 15 years of his career in aesthetics and dermatology, and more recently was president of NVISION Eye Centers, a leading provider of ophthalmology services.

“James’ unique background in ophthalmology as well as aesthetics make him a natural fit and perfect choice to lead both companies through the next stage of their development,” said Perry Ballard, managing director at Flexpoint Ford, a private equity firm that recently acquired both SouthEast Eye Specialists and Center for Facial Rejuvenation. “His dedication to health care services and experience in ophthalmology will be extremely valuable as we scale and grow regionally beyond Tennessee.”

Flexpoint Ford is a private equity firm dedicated to the healthcare and financial services sectors. The group currently manages approximately $2.3 billion in committed capital on behalf of its limited partners. Flexpoint Ford partnered with SouthEast Eye Specialists and Center for Facial Rejuvenation at the end of February this year.

Founded in 1999, SouthEast Eye Specialists specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and conditions of the eye, including cataracts and associated advanced lens replacement, along with corneal disease, glaucoma, eye muscle disorders, eyelid abnormalities, retina disease, laser vision correction, and pediatric eye care. SEES co-manages patients with outside optometrists, which are the principal source of patient referrals. Center for Facial Rejuvenation focuses on facial cosmetic procedures, skin care, and laser treatments.
