RYE BROOK, N.Y.—ReFocus Eye Health, a nationally focused, collaborative health care organization, has added Scott Agatone and Richard Daddona as regional directors, according to an announcement late last week. As a regional director, Agatone will oversee and direct business and operations in the New Jersey and Pennsylvania region, while Daddona will oversee and direct operations throughout the Connecticut region. Agatone joins Refocus Eye Health with more than 15 years of clinical and financial management expertise.

He was previously chief operating officer at Northern Ophthalmic Associates and has served as practice administrator at Aesthetic Dermatology and Chapin Aesthetics, in addition to other senior positions.

Daddona has more than 25 years of experience in health care and business management. He has held senior executive positions in numerous organizations, including practice administrator at Nicolitz Eye Consultants and Sanctuary Medical Aesthetic Center and executive director at Eastern Cosmetic Surgery Institute, among other senior roles.

“Our two new team appointments at ReFocus demonstrate our continued success and market traction, and are a key part of our forward movement,” Dan Doman, chief executive officer of ReFocus Eye Health, said. “We are honored to have Richard and Scott on our team and look forward to their contribution.”

Founded in 2018, ReFocus Eye Health has established a collaboration of ophthalmology and optometry practices that are committed to providing the highest level of care, with top-quality medical expertise, advanced technology and business management. The firm has three eyecare practices with eight locations across Connecticut, New Jersey and Pennsylvania within its organization.

In January, it acquired Soll Eye, which brought all four Soll Eye locations across Pennsylvania and New Jersey into the ReFocus Eye Health family, as VMAIL reported

ReFocus Eye Health noted that it takes “a fresh, enlightened approach to health practice ownership and management,” and that it provides a source of permanent capital and invests exclusively for long-term growth.

In addition to professional experience, Agatone has a Master of Business Administration from Holy Family University, a Master of Art, Health Studies degree from Southeastern Louisiana University, and a Bachelor of Science, Athletic Training from Temple University.

Daddona has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of New Haven, an associate degree in electrical engineering from Waterbury State Technical College and is a Certified Ophthalmic Executive (COE).
