SAN DIEGO—The optical industry’s largest dry eye event is open for registration. Scheduled for February 24 and 25, Eyes On Dry Eye is a two-day virtual educational summit that provides eyecare professionals with the latest research and education on dry eye in live sessions and interactive Q&A with industry experts. Dry eye disease affects more than 49 million Americans. It is one of the most common ocular conditions encountered in optometrist and ophthalmologist practices after refractive error.

Dry eye is connected to a number of vision health issues including chronic dry eye disease and as acute symptoms associated with dry eye flares caused by glaucoma, systemic disease, surgery and other conditions. This year’s event is co-chaired by dry eye experts, Damon Dierker, OD, FAAO, and Ahmad Fahmy, OD, FAAO, Dipl ABO.

Attendees can earn up to seven hours of COPE-accredited CE on issues related to patient care and practice management. Sessions will be led by 10 dry eye experts in treatment and management including Preeya K. Gupta, MD; Cecelia Koetting, OD, FAAO; Laura M. Periman, MD; Jacob Lang, OD, FAAO; I. Paul Singh, MD; and Walt Whitley, OD, FAAO.

"Eyes On Dry Eye is the best opportunity for attendees to meet with our expert faculty to learn more about DED, discover new treatment modalities, engage with industry at their booths, and explore innovative solutions that can bring meaningful value and relief to dry eye patients,” said Michael S. Cooper, OD, director of Medical Education at Eyes On Eyecare. “If you are looking to take patient care to the next level for those suffering from dry eye, then you will find everything you need to be successful at Eyes On Dry Eye this February.”
