LONDON—Registration is now open for 100% Optical which will be returning to ExCel, London for its fifth anniversary edition, Jan. 27 to 29, 2018.

Organizers report that 100% Optical attracts over 8,000 visitors from the U.K. and abroad, giving manufacturers, distributors and suppliers a unique platform to launch new products and increase brand awareness in the optical market. Event director Nathan Garnett said, “We are really excited about the fifth 100% Optical. It will feature the biggest line up ever with lots of returning brands and also major new signings.”

The show’s growing exhibitor line-up includes Lindberg, Jaeger and Henry Beaumont, who are just some of those companies returning to the show. Exhibitors celebrating their fifth year include William Morris, Shamir, Eyewear Company and Zuma. Debut exhibitors include Von Arkel, Anglo American and Bolon.

100% Optical is geared to providing a positive visitor experience, including its exhibition floor, fashion shows, interactive workshops, learning hubs, design competitions and the central bar. For the first time this year, visitors will be transported forward in time to the “Future Practice,” giving a glimpse of what’s to come for the optical profession from a clinical, regulatory and professional perspective, and discussing how optics will evolve, trends to look out for, and how the industry can benefit from new technology.

Also new for 2018 is the Optical Academy providing CET education and workshops for the whole practice including optical assistants. This supports the wider education programme, which is designed and delivered by the Association of Optometrists AOP.

Garnett added, “The AOP awards ceremony is returning for its second year and the massively successful Royal College of Art Eyewear competition is also celebrating its fifth birthday, with past winners returning to the show to tell us how their careers have been launched successfully through this collaboration. "To top it all off,” he added, “we’ll be celebrating our fifth anniversary with a party—open to all on Saturday, Jan. 27.”
