Scott Filion.

MADISON, Wis.—Rev360, the company that delivers RevolutionEHR and a suite of eyecare practice advancement solutions to ECPs, announced officially this week that Scott Filion has been promoted to chief executive officer. Filion, who previously was president and chief operating officer, will now oversee Rev360’s three business units: RevolutionEHR, a leading cloud-based electronic health record (EHR) and practice management software platform for eyecare; Professional Eye Care Associates of America (PECAA), the nation’s premiere doctor alliance group; and Visionary Partners, an innovative partnership between Rev360 and ECPs to sustain and grow independent eyecare practices.

Rev360 founder and former chief executive officer Scott Jens has assumed a senior advisor position to the Rev360 board of directors, the announcement noted. The company had initially disclosed plans for this management transition in October 2018, as VMAIL reported.

Filion brings more than 25 years of experience in health care and health care technology to his role at Rev360. His diverse background includes leadership positions at GE Healthcare Information Technologies, where he focused on medical technologies, digital infrastructure and data analytics, and GetWellNetwork. He’s also worked for EMC Healthcare, where he grew the business from $40 million to $1.4 billion over a 10-year span, the announcement noted.

“We are thrilled to have a seasoned health care technology executive like Scott Filion join our team,” Rev360 chairman Gunnar Bjorklund said in the announcement. “His leadership experience and operational acumen are invaluable as we push into our next stage of growth and deliver on our commitment to drive profitability and joy for our customers.”

Filion said he is committed to bringing “a collaborative style of leadership” to his work at the company, according to the announcement this week. “For me, the most important skill of any leader is listening,” he said. Filion is putting this philosophy into practice as he visits with ECPs all around the country who use RevolutionEHR. “I don’t think you can ever see your customers enough, you can never get enough feedback,” he said, noting that his goal is to gather information and insight about RevolutionEHR and its practice solutions. “Our customers will tell us what they need and what they want, and we’ll innovate around that,” he added.
