NEW YORK—Five speakers have been named and the agenda set for the upcoming myopia management event, THE Myopia Meeting, which is scheduled for Dec. 8 in Burlingame, Calif., outside of San Francisco, according to the event organizers. The meeting marks the first event under the auspices of the partnership between Review of Myopia Management (RMM) and Treehouse Eyes.

With the prevalence of myopia in the U.S. rising rapidly, and the age of onset coming earlier, organizers have designed this meeting to deliver “excellence in education to empower eyecare professionals to provide state-of-the-art myopia management care,” according to an announcement.

Gary Gerber, OD, co-founder of Treehouse Eyes, will lead a special session detailing how to launch myopia management within a practice at the conclusion of the day’s workshop schedule.

Registration for the event includes breakfast, lunch, six hours of COPE-approved CE, interactive workshops and the opportunity to network with sponsors. Early-bird registration for the meeting is underway and continues until Nov. 15 (at a $199 rate). The meeting registration fee increases to $225 after Nov. 15.
