Latest News VisionSpring Founder Jordan Kassalow, OD, Releases Book, Dare to Matter By Staff Friday, April 19, 2019 12:15 AM Jordan Kassalow, OD. NEW YORK—VisionSpring has announced that its founder, Jordan Kassalow, OD, is releasing a book titled Dare to Matter: Your Path to Making a Difference Now, co-authored with Rabbi Jennifer Krause. Dr. Kassalow’s book documents his journey as he strived to integrate real-world responsibilities with his desire to create social change. Dr. Kassalow told BusinessWire, “I was lucky to identify my path to bring together personal meaning and social purpose early, as a 23-year-old optometry student—but that doesn’t mean the journey has been straightforward. This book covers all of the hiccups, detours, dead-ends, and life-changing experiences that shaped my path and questions I asked myself to get to what matters most.” In the book, Dr. Kassalow details how his realization that a pair of glasses is the only thing standing in between many people and an education or a job led to his decision to found VisionSpring. It offers practice advice for readers to help them move from thought to action, and has been praised by former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, bestselling author Walter Isaacson, and others. Fifteen percent of the net sales proceeds from the book will benefit VisionSpring.Dare to Matter: Your Path to Making a Difference Now is available now on Amazon Kindle. The hardcover copy is available for pre-sale now, and will be released April 30, 2019, through Barnes & Noble, IndieBound, iBooks, Amazon and other bookstores. To pre-order the book, click here.
