Quick Take: Nautica Eyewear, from Marchon, has announced the launch of its new Tenite Renew optical collection, featuring frames made from a sustainable material powered by Eastman. Eastman’s Tenite Renew uses more than 56 percent sustainable materials made from bio-based and certified recycled content. Nautica is also debuting sun styles in the collection.
Specifics: The three new optical styles are designed with lightweight construction, classic shapes and pops of color. The Tenite Renew material is produced via an advanced recycling technology that uses hard to recycle waste plastic in place of fossil feedstock. This reduces carbon emissions and leaves fossil-based resources behind.
Selling Point: Thomas Burkhardt, president of Marchon Eyewear, said, “We are thrilled to continue our commitment to taking steps toward social responsibility and making a positive impact on the environment with Tenite Renew. The Nautica styles offer customers more sustainable styles when shopping for lifestyle eyewear.”
