When 22-year-old Nadia Popovici spotted a mole on the back of a stranger's neck, she knew right away that it was potentially cancerous. The stranger, Brian Hamilton, was an assistant equipment manager for the Vancouver Canucks, and Popovici was a pre-med student and fan at the game, seated behind Hamilton's spot on the team bench. Eventually, Popovici knew she had to take a risk and let Hamilton know, so she wrote out a note on her phone, and waved at him until she got his attention. It turns out, she saved his life.
