MONROE, N.J.—Registration is now open for Unlocking Athletic Potential, the 7th Annual International Sports Vision Association (ISVA) conference, to be held Feb. 9-11, 2023 at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Dallas-Frisco Hotel and Convention Center. The ISVA annual conference is a leading event for eyecare professionals, athletic trainers, coaches, and others interested in helping athletes reach their maximum potential. It is not being offered virtually.

The 2023 conference kicks off on Thursday, Feb. 9 with two pre-conference morning lectures devoted to management of concussion in athletes. Attendees may then choose from one of two afternoon workshops:

● Establishing a Sports Vision Specialty Workshop will introduce emerging sports vision providers to visual performance evaluation and performance vision training protocols, techniques, equipment and materials necessary to establish and enhance a sports vision practice. In order to ensure that each attendee has an opportunity to get the most out of this Workshop program, registration will be limited to the first 50 registrants.

● If you are new to concussion management or needing to find new ways of providing recovery for this injury, Sports Concussion Management—Injury to Recovery to Elite Sports Performance will give you ideas for helping your athletes through their recovery process and onto elite performance. In order to ensure that each attendee has an opportunity to get the most out of this Workshop program, registration will be limited to the first 50 registrants.

The ISVA General Conference (Feb. 10-11) will provide a variety of continuing education presentations (COPE approval pending) from some of the leading authorities in sports vision assessment and training and research. Scheduled sessions include presentations on The Healing Power of Nutrition for Sports Injuries, Contact Lens Considerations in Athletes, The Effects of Presbyopia on Performance Vision, How Sports Vision contributed to the development of treatment protocols for Visual Snow Syndrome, and more.

Special guest speakers include Brandon Sneed, author of "Sooner: The Making of a Coach, Head in the Game: The Mental Engineering of the World’s Greatest Athletes," and "The Edge of Legend: An Incredible Story of Faith and Basketball" and Thomas Hodges, one of three individuals to have played in a National Hockey League game as an emergency backup goaltender.

The conference will also feature several “Talk & Trial” sessions, affording attendees an opportunity to spend dedicated time with exhibitors to learn about and gain first-hand experience with a vast array of products, programs and services that can help build and enhance a sports vision practice.
