Christine Coloma, Co-Owner and Licensed Optician

Susan and Christine have been working in the industry for 21 years. They met when they both worked at Rossland Optical—Susan was managing the optical’s social media and marketing, and Christine was a lab technician. The two later decided to partner up, and opened Eye Bar Optical Boutique in May 2019.

Between the two of them, Susan estimates that they own about 100 pairs of glasses.

“The Carrera frame I find is an interesting piece. A different spin on what the typical aviator frame looks like, but current and on trend with it being rose gold. The lenses are tinted pink not for aesthetic reasons, but more for medical. I suffer from headaches and this helps in reducing the intensity.”
