NEW YORK—Megatrends shaped by the global pandemic will be on the program at the exclusive live-and-in-person VM Leadership Summit to be held in NYC on March 30. During "Discover & Recalibrate! Trends, Ideas and Tactics for Confronting Radical Change,” a unique group of speakers will examine the dizzying pace of changes that are transforming retail and healthcare right now. Vision Monday has just announced a Spring flash sale for the in-person event. Tickets to the VM Summit will be priced at $695 until Monday, March 14, 12:00 p.m. EST. Prospective attendees can take advantage of the discounted ticket price by registering here and using the promo code SPRING. The VM Summit will be held live and in person at The Times Center, on Wednesday, March 30, just prior to the start of Vision Expo East.

The unique, high-impact Summit program will feature voices from outside and within the business to offer glimpses of the near future, where disruption remains constant, and consumers are one step ahead. Summit attendees will learn about the new purpose of a store, how brands are being built, how the tech titans are targeting vision and innovators are creating new pathways to patient-centric care.

Kicking off the Summit program will be a session called The CEO Leadership Moment, featuring Vikram (Vik) Malhotra, a senior partner in McKinsey’s New York office and co-author of a new book, CEO Excellence: The Six Mindsets That Distinguish the Best Leaders from the Rest.

Next is Retail Is the New Media Channel, featuring John Carroll, head of North America Advisory for Coresight Research, one of the most influential retail and economic trend firms in the world; Sydney Stinson Ferguson, vice president, marketing for Sunglass Hut North America; and Louis-Félix Boulanger, co-founder and COO of Montreal-based eyewear retailer BonLook.

They’ll be followed by Brand-Building, Rewired, featuring Davitha Tiller, executive vice president at Red Havas, part of one of the world’s leading media agencies and communications experts; Lisa Sun, founder and CEO of GRAVITAS and a former associate principal at McKinsey & Co.; and Whitney Fishman Zember, head of media innovation & consumer technology at Wavemaker, a top global media network.

Two afternoon sessions are planned. The first, Vision-Tech Convergence, will feature Ruth Reader, a Fast Company reporter covering the intersection of health and technology, plus Calvin W. Roberts, MD, president and CEO of Lighthouse Guild.

The Summit will wrap up with a session titled New Access Points and Routes to Care. It will feature David Reitnauer, vice president, Health & Wellness Specialized Services at Walmart, Inc. and leader of Walmart’s Optical and Audiology business; three prominent optometrists—Solomon Gould, OD, Jennifer Stewart, OD and Amanda Nanasy, OD, plus David Kepron, a multifaceted creative professional with a background as an architect, artist, educator, author, podcast host and builder.
