Black Friday, Sofa Sunday (a research day for online shoppers) and Cyber Monday are all record-setting holiday shopping events and red-letter days on the retail calendar. But don’t overlook Small Business Saturday, which is becoming quite a consumer force in its own right. As part of its fund-raising effort for Optometry Giving Sight, Vision Source organized a “pie in the face” event on Nov. 9 where team members could make a donation in exchange for a whipped-cream pie that they smooshed on someone.
