More Images
Quick Take:
Following the 2009 launch of the eyewear collection, Signature Eyewear has officially presented the Dakota Smith Los Angeles Sunglass collection of vintage-inspired styles.
Wearer: According to the company, Jim Sepanek, designer of the Dakota Smith Los Angeles collection, sought to make high-quality frames with a particular aesthetic that would appeal to a wide range of consumers, targeting those that are young in spirit and original in their thinking.
Specifics: The collection includes eight styles for men in shapes like the club masters, rectangles, square, navigators and aviators, each available in three colors.
Selling Points: Style names include Instinct, Assurance, Resolve, Anthem, Perception, Suspicion, Allegation and Impulse. Characteristic temple décor is a signature design element of the collection. “Eyewear that provides a unique perspective is usually priced at the high end of the market,” said Sepanek. “Dakota Smith Los Angeles provides a democratic solution, meeting this consumer’s demand for frames that are uniquely ‘cool’ while being priced at a level that is accessible for everyone.”
