ALISO VIEJO, Calif.—Glaukos, an ophthalmic pharmaceutical and medical technology company with a focus on patient education about keratoconus (KC), announced it has been honored with a Stevie Award for Marketing Campaign of the Year for its multifaceted KC Consumer Awareness Campaign. The bronze level distinction from the American Business Association recognizes the consumer awareness focus of the campaign, created with agency partner PRECISIONeffect. The campaign, centered around its “Living With KC” website, is supported by social media and collateral materials breaking down KC signs and symptoms, risks, and possible rapid progression.

Key calls to action include a link to take an online, downloadable quiz and a link to a “Find a Doc” webpage to make an appointment to be screened.

One of the judges commented, “The challenge in a campaign like this is getting an audience to learn enough to care. Centering the social campaign on a mascot was very smart and I think the number of views on TikTok backs that up. Similarly, focusing on a relatable and common action like rubbing your eyes, helps the audience to relate to the content and think about their potential to be affected. It’s not often you get to say your work directly improves lives. Kudos to the team for that.”

All Stevie Awards will be presented to winners at a gala ceremony at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York on June 11, 2024.
