ALEXANDRIA, Va.—The Vision Council today releases the Consumer inSights Q1 2022 Report, the first published report from The Vision Council’s new inSights Research Program, which was announced last week. The Consumer inSights Q1 2022 Report includes a summary of an all-new consumer survey about vision correction, eye exams, eyeglasses, contact lenses, readers, and plano sunglasses.  The survey was fielded to 15,015 respondents in the first quarter and the data is representative of the general U.S. adult population.

Data collection for the Q1 2022 wave of the survey occurred between Feb. 24 and March 28, 2022. The fielding window was compressed for this quarter, but going forward, 5,000 completed surveys will be gathered each month and reported on a quarterly basis.

In an effort to better serve members with more accessible, useable data, the report is available in PDF format and as a PowerPoint slide presentation.

The Consumer inSights Q1 2022 Report is available in The Vision Council’s updated Research Download Center, which has been redesigned to offer a streamlined and intuitive user experience, enabling members to quickly download free reports with fewer clicks. The Consumer inSights Q1 2022 Report is available to members of The Vision Council as a complimentary download and to non-members to purchase for $3,000.

“We are thrilled to release the Consumer inSights Q1 2022 Report,” said Alysse Henkel, director of Research Data and Analytics at The Vision Council. “Members will immediately notice the new look and layout of the report, which includes bold, easy-to-read data visualizations and succinct but thorough analysis of our survey results.

“Additionally, for the first time, we have net promoter scores—which are effective measures of patient satisfaction—available for eye exam providers and eyewear purchases. Furthermore, the Consumer inSights+ reports, available for purchase, offer even more granular data for members who want to examine the survey results from every angle,” Henkel said.
