NEW YORK—It was a busy year in 2017 across the optical retailing business in the U.S. Many companies enjoyed modest organic growth as the U.S. economy continued to grow, the stock markets pushed upward and consumers and patients remained confident in their outlook for the future, a confluence of events that, in one way or another, played into a steady performance for optical retailing and eyecare overall last year.

of optical retailers across the U.S. for inclusion in the 2018 Top U.S. Optical Retailers report. Results from the survey will be published in the May 2018 digital and print issue of Vision Monday. This survey is being sent to chief executives of retail operations, both chain and independent. The survey, and the 2018 Top U.S. Optical Retailers report, will be based upon revenues for the calendar year that ended Dec. 31, 2017.
