RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif.—The VSP Vision Premier Program is now VSP Premier Edge. The company said VSP Premier Edge will offer more value and support for participating Premier Edge practices and the best available offers for VSP members to maximize their benefits at Premier Edge locations. This rebrand follows VSP Vision’s brand transformation nearly a year ago to better reflect the organization’s evolution and continued commitment to its stakeholders. “For nearly 10 years, the Premier Program has provided a competitive edge to help private practice thrive,” said VSP Vision chief marketing officer Wendy Hauteman.

“Now, as VSP Premier Edge, we’re moving forward with an updated name, look and feel, plus exclusive VSP member offers, and continuing our promise to deliver even greater opportunities for more patients, profit, and support for participating practices.”

With Premier Edge, the company said there are no changes to program levels or new targets to meet. Practices receive the same exclusive benefits, including their shared savings payments and the Premier Edge banner on the VSP Find a Doctor Directory which averages three times more clicks than those without, VSP said.

To support patient flow to Premier Edge practices, exclusive offers are launching for VSP members, including:

  • Premier Edge Promise: A worry-free eyewear guarantee that protects VSP members from accidentally broken or damaged glasses and prescription changes, with the ability to return and choose different eyewear at no cost to the practice.

  • Premier Edge Perfect Pair Rebate: VSP members can get up to $120 in savings when they purchase eligible eyewear at a Premier Edge practice.

  • PremierMax: Supports value to clients and members by offering exclusive product enhancements available only at Premier Edge practices, such as greater frame allowance, covered retinal imaging, and $0 exam copay.
With Premier Edge, participating practices still have access to valuable benefits, including complimentary training and education, marketing support, career support, and cost savings on products and services. VSP Vision said it continues to invest in member marketing to highlight the value, customer service conveniences, and great selection offered at Premier Edge practices.

Since 2013, Premier has continued to evolve. Last year, there were 8.2 million patient visits to participating VSP Premier Program practices, including 2.4 million new patients. In addition, participating practices received $42.7 million in shared savings in 2022, the company said.
