Jason Singh, OD.

MASON, Ohio—Jason Singh, OD, will be joining Pearle Vision as vice president of vision care, VMail has learned. In this newly created role at Pearle, a division of the retail group of Luxottica (NYSE: LUX), "Jason’s mandate will be to make Pearle Vision the business partner of choice for ODs who want to prosper as owners of neighborhood practices," a Luxottica spokesperson said. In his new role, Singh will report to Pete Bridgman, SVP and general manager of Pearle Vision.

Working across the Pearle Vision organization, Singh will be charged with building "a cohesive program of standards and resources—including everything from eyecare to equipment to billing— that Pearle ODs need to deliver a consistently excellent clinical experience," the spokesperson said. "His efforts will support Pearle Vision’s goal to drive expansion through the conversion of independent practices to franchised ones and working with successful owner operators looking to invest in more locations."

Singh will begin in his new position on Jan. 18.

Since 2011, Jason has served as executive director of OneSight, leading the organization through a transformative period. The spokesperson said, "He built a world class team and strategy that redefined the vision crisis in compelling ways and built a model for sustainable access to vision care in underserved areas."

The One Sight board of directors, led by Lukas Ruecker, has already begun the process of identifying a successor to Singh, spokesperson said.
