MORRIS PLAINS, N.J.—Charmant has announced the promotion of Masato Nakagaichi to president and CEO of Charmant USA. Masakiyo Honjo, past president and CEO of Charmant USA was promoted to group president and CEO in March 2020 and returned to the Group’s Headquarters in Sabae, Japan. Nakagaichi was then promoted to executive vice president and has been responsible for the daily operating performance of the U.S. subsidiary which includes finance, strategic sales planning, and analysis. He now officially takes the title of president and CEO of Charmant USA.

Prior to this move, Nakagaichi spent three years as director of corporate planning for Charmant and has been stationed in the U.S. office working directly with the U.S. management team. He has worked for Charmant Group for over 25 years in various positions including sales manager for export sales, as well as sales support manager responsible for wholesale business covering Germany, France and the U.K.

Masakiyo Honjo said, “Nakagaichi is a proven strategic leader whose depth of experience has greatly resulted in a solid foundation for Charmant USA. I expect Masato along with the U.S. executive management team to continue to build upon and grow Charmant USA.”

Masato Nakagaichi said, “I am excited about my new assignment here in the U.S., I look forward to working with the management team we have in place to further strengthen Charmant’s position in the U.S.”

The Charmant USA subsidiary is celebrating its 40th Anniversary in the U.S. this year.
