PALM SPRINGS, Fla.—My Eyelab is expanding operations across South Texas with a multi-unit franchise agreement. Two franchisees, Scot Poole and Ezra Coronado, are driving MyEyelab’s expansion in the region. Both have more than 20 years experience in the cellular retail industry, and have extensive knowledge in retail management and premium real-estate development, according to My Eyelab. Poole and Coronado's first of 10 locations is slated to open in the summer of 2018, with an additional two stores expected later in the year, the company said in a statement.

Vision Precision Holdings, parent company to My Eyelab and Stanton Optical, operate a combination of 90 corporate and franchise locations in 22 states. Earlier this month, VMail reported that My Eyelab announced a 10-unit franchise agreement in the Dallas, Texas, area.

A focus on making things simpler for the patient/consumer and operator has led to sizable growth for both My Eyelab and Stanton Optical, both of which operate under the umbrella of Vision Precision Holdings. In 2017, Vision Precision Holdings ranked as the 18th largest optical retailer in the U.S., with estimated sales of just under $90 million and 55 eyecare locations (44 Stanton, 11 My Eyelab), according to Vision Monday’s Top 50 U.S. Optical Retailers report.

As of January, Vision Precision Holdings reported that it had a combination of 85 corporate and franchise locations under its umbrella and that these stores operated in 22 states, according to Vision Monday’s dba newsletter. My Eyelab, which is the company’s franchise vehicle, has signed deals covering 47 franchise locations since it began this effort in 2016.
