ELKINS PARK, Pa.—Dr. Susan Oleszewski, professor emeritus, Pennsylvania College of Optometry (PCO), received the Lighthouse Award at Salus University’s 16th annual Looking Out for Kids (LOFK) charity fundraiser on Nov. 11, 2023, at the Switch House at the Battery in Philadelphia. The event raised funds for Salus University’s LOFK initiative, which supports economically disadvantaged, underinsured and/or uninsured children in need of vision and hearing services in Philadelphia, and for the last decade, its surrounding counties, according to an announcement.

Dr. Oleszewski is a Pennsylvania College of Optometry (PCO) alumna, who before retiring in 2019 spent four decades in various academic, clinical and administrative roles at PCO, The Eye Institute (TEI), PCO’s main clinical facility and then Salus. In 2007, she founded the LOFK charity initiative while executive director of patient care services at TEI.
