NEWARK, N.J.—Jobson Optical Group announced today that Anne Cooper has joined the company in the position of editorial director of the 20/20 and Vision Monday groups. Cooper joins Jobson with an extensive career resume that includes over 20 years of editorial experience in the health care and dentistry industries, most recently serving as the director of operations with Ashfield MedComms, part of Inizio. “We are very excited about the addition of Anne Cooper to our group,” said James DeMatteis, group publisher, 20/20 and Vision Monday.

Cooper worked at Ashfield/Inizio beginning in 2015, serving as director of operations, director of editorial services, and before that, managing editor. In addition, she has worked in multiple editorial roles within the health care and dentistry industries at Dentistry Today, ScienceFirst, and The Lynx Group. Cooper is a graduate of Georgetown University and has a Master of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication from New York University.

In her role as editorial director of 20/20 and Vision Monday, Cooper will be responsible for editorial direction, strategy and day to day operations for the digital and print offerings published within 20/20, Vision Monday, and VMAIL platforms.

Effective January 2024, Marge Axelrad, formerly SVP and editorial director of Vision Monday and VMAIL has transitioned to the title of editorial director emeritus and will continue to play a role with Jobson through the end of March, 2024, as previously announced. During this transition period, Axelrad will remain active in monitoring industry news and key developments, including representing Jobson at industry meetings and events. In addition, Axelrad will play a key role in the upcoming Vision Monday Leadership Summit scheduled for March 13, 2024.
