NEW YORK—EyeCarePro, a marketing agency exclusively serving eyecare providers, has announced the winners for the 2nd Annual Practice Manager of the Year Award. To help recognize the role practice managers play and thank them for their dedication, EyeCarePro, joined forces for the program this year with fellow sponsors Optify, Foxfire Systems Group, Vision Trends and ClearVision Optical. The company said, “We would like to thank everyone who participated in recognizing the amazing dedication of their Practice Managers for our Practice Manager of the Year award. After reading over 250 heartfelt submissions, our fellow sponsors have chosen the winners.”

Sharon DiPilla of EyeKrafters Medical Optics in South Plainfield, N.J., is the Grand Prize winner of $2,500. Amy Rambat, of Maydew Thibault Optometry in Pratt, Kan., is the winner of the 2nd place prize of $1,000, and Samantha Day of Lakeside Vision in Hawley, Penn., is the winner of the 3rd place prize of $500.

Here’s a highlight of Dr. Koppel’s submission for winner Sharon DiPilla: “Her passion for making someone feel good and look good is her cornerstone. She constantly asks lifestyle dispensing questions to best guide the patient and would be brutally honest about the right look and fit for her patient.

“She has driven to patients’ homes to deliver their glasses if they were stuck or inconvenienced. She truly has been a tremendous asset to our practice and just this recognition alone makes her a winner in my eyes.”

And here’s what Practice Manager of the Year, Sharon DiPilla, had to say about being honored. “What Dr. Koppel wrote was very touching. He showed me the submission and told me I was the winner. It’s nice to be appreciated, it makes you feel great. And he respects what I do—it’s not easy. Our team is all on the same page and we all work together, and I feel as though that’s what has brought success.”
