NEW YORK—We are just a few short days away from Halloween, and preparations are in full swing. Whether you’re an early planner who’s had a costume since the summer, or are throwing things together last minute, there’s one thing all of the optical community can agree on: messing around with costume contact lenses can only lead to trouble.

In the lead up to Halloween, many have taken to social media to remind patients just how dangerous contact lenses can be if all the correct procedures aren’t followed. There’s still a little time left before October 31—enough time for all of us to get involved, too, and send out this important reminder.

This weekend, we’re taking a look at how some ECPs have been spotlighting contact lens safety this Halloween season.
