NEW YORK—Registration is now open for the live, in-person 2023 Vision Monday Leadership Summit, which will take place Wednesday, March 15, 2023, just ahead of Vision Expo East. This year, "Insight, Unseen: How Leaders Uncover, Design and Scale Innovations" is the theme for the exclusive and influential event which attracts senior decision makers and influencers from throughout the eyecare and optical industry and profession. "With dramatic change coming from all directions, some tactics for propelling business and health care forward are obvious," said Marge Axelrad, SVP/editorial director of Vision Monday.

"But not everything meets the eye. Uncovering hidden resources can be the difference maker for professionals and business leaders alike. It’s more urgent than ever to cultivate talent, respect individuals and engage teams to power innovation. Leaders who unlock this hidden strength can combine it with digital savvy to design and scale innovations, forming stronger connections with customers and patients, unlocking creativity and elevating their business," Axelrad said.

The Summit will return to The Times Center where experts in retail, health care and other fields, along with "vision voices," will share their perspectives and engage with attendees. Registration details, now featuring early-bird pricing, is open here.

"By providing fresh insights into trends impacting the optical business today, we help Summit attendees see what's around the corner," said Andrew Karp, group editor, Jobson Optical Group. "They'll take away actionable ideas that can be adapted to different sized companies."

The 2023 Vision Monday Leadership Summit will take a deeper look at these ideas and trends.

  • Identify Matters: As institutions work to re-establish our trust, leaders of companies and brands must reassert their identity and values to consumers. Honesty, transparency and a deep understanding of customers’ priorities are essential for meaningful, lasting engagement.

  • Culture and Human Capital: Aligning purpose, people and products is transforming workplace culture. Multigenerational, diverse teams will power creativity and energize growth.

  • "Metaversal" Madness: Even as the fashion, gaming and entertainment industries find their way through emerging virtual worlds, Web3 is already opening new dimensions to the patient experience.

  • Thinking Big: Expanding the Market for Vision will examine two trends. Breaking Through: Innovators are inventing fresh language and messaging to help people see and understand the importance of vision care in new ways. Supporting Invisible Communities: Access to care is not only a public health concern. Leaders who minimize the distance between doing good and achieving growth can create a positive framework for vision care. Unconventional eyewear consumers can be brought into contact with new products and services that can lead to new commercial opportunities.

  • Scaling Innovation by Design: Consumers and patients are demanding new environments and services that reflect who they are and how they live today. How do leaders inspire teams to innovate and create new vision care and retail experiences?
For 16 years, the Vision Monday Global Leadership Summit has attracted senior industry executives, optical retailers, leading eyecare professionals, suppliers and key opinion leaders from the worldwide optical industry. It has become the place for face-to-face networking, a dynamic exchange of ideas and thought-provoking discussion. Speakers and sponsors will be announced soon.
