NEW YORK—Two of the business world's most sought after speakers are joining the upcoming Vision Monday Leadership Summit, "Insight, Unseen: How Leaders Uncover, Design and Scale Innovations" as opening and closing keynotes. Rohit Bhargava, the VM Summit's opening keynote speaker, is on a mission to inspire more "non-obvious thinking" in the world. He is the three-time Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling author of eight books and is widely considered one of the most entertaining and original speakers on trends, innovation and marketing in the world.

Bhargava's talk will be How to be a Non-Obvious Thinker (and See What Others Miss). "When every day brings constant disruption, it’s hard to know where to focus. With the right mindset, we can look to the future with informed optimism," he noted. In this candid and fast-paced session based on the bestselling book that has inspired more than one million readers, Bhargava will reveal the five habits of non-obvious thinkers that can help listeners become a “speed understander” who can see the opportunities others don’t, be more resilient and lead the future.

Bhargava has been invited to deliver sold-out keynotes and workshops in 32 countries around the world to change the way teams and leaders think at the World Bank, NASA, Intel, LinkedIn, MetLife, Under Armour, Univision, Disney and hundreds of other well-known organizations. Prior to becoming an entrepreneur and founding two companies, he previously spent 15 years as a marketing strategist at Ogilvy and Leo Burnett where he advised global brands on marketing and storytelling.

Bob Safian joins the VM Leadership Summit as the day's closing keynote. Safian is the host of podcast Masters of Scale: Rapid Response, downloaded by business leaders millions of times each month and named by The New York Times as one of its "Podcasts for the Pandemic Era." Guests on the show include CEOs from Airbnb to Marriott, Instacart to Target, GM to Harley-Davidson, Nike to Peloton, covering topics from AI to autonomous vehicles, sustainability to social impact, leadership responsibilities to talent management, and more.

Safian will weave together the themes of VM's Summit in "Unlocking the Secrets of Scale," examining what are the modern challenges faced by business leaders, entrepreneurs and established players, and how should leaders and their teams manage through them? Drawing from his vantage point at his consultancy, The Flux Group, and using examples from executive leaders he's interviewed for the "Masters of Scale: Rapid Response" podcast, Safian will share on-the-ground experiences and learnings from outside of optical.

How can leaders best spur future growth? The goal is to inspire the VM Summit audience to build new runways and tactics to take advantage of opportunities.

One of the most sought-after experts in modern business, Safian was editor-in-chief of Fast Company for a decade, and is the founder of The Flux Group, an advisory group driving awareness of new business practices, he directly counsels Fortune 100 firms, start-ups and nonprofits across multiple industries.

Bhargava and Safian are joining a diverse and unique group of presenters at the live, in-person VM Summit, all prominent voices and key opinion leaders in communications, business consulting, human resources, retailing and vision care. Registration details and full speaker bios are posted here. Their ideas will inform a daylong program designed for senior decision makers and influencers from throughout the optical industry and eyecare professions.
