Quick Take: Morel is debuting its optical collection in collaboration with (RED), a partnership announced earlier this year. Morel will also release (RED) sun styles.
Specifics: The Morel (RED) collection is made up of 15 optical styles in a variety of shapes including a rounded square, a modified round, a panto and two butterflies. Every style will offer a full red design, with additional options in black, grey, tortoise, gold or crystal. Morel’s cat symbol has been worked into (RED)’s signature parentheses on each end tip. 
Selling Point: For every (MOREL) RED frame purchased, MOREL will donate $5 to the Global Fund, with a minimum guaranteed donation of $100,000. Founded in 2006, (RED) partners with iconic brands across all categories to create (RED) products and experiences that raise money for the Global Fund, one of the world’s largest funders of global health. (RED) began with the goal of fighting AIDS, and is now responding to both AIDS and the COVID-19 pandemic. To date, (RED) has generated nearly $700 million for the Global Fund, helping more than 245 million people.
