MILPITAS, Calif.—Eyefluence, a California-based company specializing in eye-interaction technology for augmented, virtual and mixed reality devices, announced on its website Monday that it is being acquired by Google. The purchase price was not disclosed.

Eyefluence posted a message on its site saying it will work with Google to “continue to advance eye-interaction technology to expand human potential and empathy on an even larger scale.” The company is developing what it describes as “a more natural, intuitive way to interact with augmented and virtual reality displays.”

Eyefluence was founded in 2013 by entrepreneur Jim Marggraff, who serves as chairman and CEO. Marggraff spoke about Eyefluence’s approach to eye-interaction technology at Vision Monday’s 2016 Global Leadership Summit.
