MIAMI—Innovative Eyewear has announced the addition of two eyewear industry veterans to its team. Ekene Ofodile joins the company as senior vice president, sales and marketing. Jan Cory joins as vice president of global optical sales and marketing. Most recently, Ofodile worked as head of sales, North America for a portfolio of outdoor/work wear brands acquired from Honeywell International by Rocky Brands; from 2018 through 2021 he held the position of director of strategic account sales at Honeywell International’s safety and productivity services retail division. There, he helped drive the growth of footwear, PPE and hearing and vision protection products with high volume key accounts.

In addition, Ofodile has held positions at Randolph Engineering as senior vice president, global sales and marketing and New Balance Athletics as head of international sales operations. Ofodile said, “I believe Harrison Gross and the Innovative Eyewear team are disrupting the eyewear industry with smart frame technology. I am thrilled to be joining the company at this pivotal moment and look forward to contributing to its very bright future.”
 
Cory began her optical career at Bausch + Lomb, where she spent 12 years. Most recently, she was CCO at I-Deal Optics; she has also held roles as senior director at IDOC, U.S. president at Silhouette and SVP of sales for U.S. and Canada at Viva/Marcolin. Cory was named one of VM’s most Influential Women in Optical in 2015, and currently serves on the board of the Optical Women’s Association.
