BALTIMORE—Versant Health has announced the addition of two new members to its leadership team. Rachel Pokay joins as assistant vice president of brand activation and market enablement, and Hayley Ellington-Buckles returns to Versant Health as chief compliance and privacy officer. Pokay joins from her most recent role as director of sustainability communications at MetLife, supporting MetLife’s sustainability officer, chief global diversity, equity and inclusion officer, and MetLife foundation president abd CEO. Prior to that, she held various marketing and communications roles of increasing responsibility during her 11-year tenure in MetLife’s U.S. Group Benefits Business and former retail business.

Ellington-Buckles returns to Versant Health after a role serving as a principal for Prophetic Advantage Consulting. Prior to that, she served as chief compliance officer and then senior vice president, operations at Versant Health from 2017 to April 2021. In 2012, she joined Davis Vision, now one of Versant Health’s two vision care plans, as vice president of compliance, contracting and clinical administration.
 
 
 
As chief compliance and privacy officer, Ellington-Buckles will lead the compliance strategy and corporate compliance program for Versant Health. In addition to ensuring the organization is compliant with all state and federal regulatory requirements, she will oversee all aspects of developing and managing company licensing and reporting, audit management, vendor oversight, privacy office, regulatory affairs, and the organization’s special investigations/fraud, waste and abuse program.
